Welcome!
Hey, thanks for following me!

I'd really like to get to know about what you do, so please send me an email to tell me what interests you, and what you like to talk about on Twitter, or why you decided to follow me on Twitter.
If you have suggestions about what I might write about, let me know and I'll put it on my editorial calendar.

By being a regular twitter updater, you're going to land on my #FF #FollowFriday list at some point, so keep posting interesting stuff.

I don't follow everyone who follows me, and I don't auto-follow anyone. I take a little time every day or two to go back over my new followers, see if I can contribute to the conversations they're having, or if I just like what they're talking about, and I follow those people. That's not to say that the other people are bad, it's just to say that I could spend all day reading tweets, and I have to draw the line somewhere. :)

If you're new to Twitter, here are five things you need to know about social media audience engagement. Or if you just want to read the rest of my blog, click here.

In additions to my regular tweets, you can read my stuff here, or my regular guest blogs at www.youngentrepreneur.com and
www.enloop.com

Thanks again for the follow.

 Duncan

What's
#FollowFriday or #FF
Follow Friday is a Twitter custom where you recommend people who you follow to people who follow you. My weekly list is published here every Friday. Some of these folks I know personally, others I only know through Twitter, but I have a wagon-load of respect for each of them and the work they do.

Again, no #FF last week, and only two names on this week's. Geo and Firas are Wordpress guys. In the last week I've run into some problems on a site I'm building, and so I tweeted that I needed some help. These guys offered advice, they made themselves available to answer questions and they did it in non-tech language that made it easy for me to follow what they were telling me. If you are new, or new-ish, to Wordpress, you must follow these great guys.

This week, an earthquake rocked the east coast, apparently in preparation for Hurricane Irene to come in and destroy anything left standing this weekend. So, first things's first: if you're in the probable path of Hurricane Irene, shut down your laptop and evacuate. Follow whatever directions law enforcement and FEMA are giving you.
This week's #FF twitterati are the best folks, not just good ones, but the very best, based on the left coast. If you don't follow these guys...well, you just lost my respect. Which I know makes you feel small inside.

August 19 2011
This has been a weird week. I've been struggling to get back into the groove I was in before I went to NOLA. It's been hard and motivation has been in short supply...thankfully I have these guys posting entertaining content for me to read.

August 12 2011
I was out of town last week, so no #FF - but back to normal today. Five great guys who make me smarter every time I read their work and tweets.

July 29 2011
Man, I am late getting on my #FF list this week. In my defense I've been busy with an article that's spiraling out of control and may yet end up being a chapter in a book. We'll see. The folks on this week's list are all part of my check-ins when I hit Twitter. I go find out what they're talking about (like I do with all my #FF people) because they always have something interesting to say, or retweet.

I'm always amazed at how some people find the time to hold down a job, post prolifically, and be really engaged with their followers. This week we have, as usual, just an insanely talented group of individuals. The way they interact online is an inspiration to me, and I learn something from them every day. So thanks, guys.

July 15 2011
Back to some regular recommendations this week -- which has been just a huge week for me personally. I've connected with a bunch of great people who produce some amazing content, and hopefully I'll get the opportunity to #FF them all over the coming weeks and month. In the meantime, here are some of those Twitterati whose stuff I've found myself referring back to.

July 8 2011
There are a lot of great Twitter contributors out there who haven't established a huge follower-base yet (me included) but that doesn't diminish the great information they drop into my Tweetstream. This week's #FF people all have less than 500 followers. And in each and every case it's a sin that more people aren't reading those tweets.

Showing some home-town love this week. Atlanta has been my home for almost a decade, and here are some folks who make living with the humidity bearable.

Changing things up this week. A shorter list, but also sample tweets for you to look at.
This week's #FollowFriday Twitterati are...
...all amazing social media people. I've listed some #socialmedia people in other weeks, so in addition to these guys, keep scrolling down for previous #FF lists.

This week's #FollowFriday Twitterati are...
...kind of a meaty list this week, so no cute one-line bios. Just really good tweeps. Damn, I hate that word. They're good people, who are great at what they do.

Impressive list, no?
